Heinz is the undisputed giant of tomato ketchup, controlling over half of the U.S. market. Founded in 1869, the brand actually started with horseradish sold in clear glass bottles to prove its purity. The famous '57 Varieties' on the label was never an actual product count; the founder just liked the sound of the number. Today, its ketchup, baked beans, and soups are universal diner and household staples used daily for dipping fries and topping burgers.
